Our commitment to sustainability extends throughout our entire supply chain to ensure we are doing our part to protect the planet for future generations.

At SonFlow, sustainability is a top priority throughout the design process for our pumps and plate heat exchangers. We carefully consider the selection of materials for their durability, efficiency, and recyclability, ensuring that our products are both environmentally responsible and reliable for our customers.

• Many of our products are made from stainless steel, a sustainable material that is 100% recyclable.
• Our pumps and heat exchangers are specifically calculated and engineered for the tasks they are intended to perform. This not only ensures optimal performance, but it also means that our products are energy efficient. By avoiding unnecessary energy usage, we can provide our customers with cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions that meet their unique requirements.
• We are proud to offer plate heat exchangers that are AHRI-Certified® from the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). This certification signifies that our products have met rigorous industry standards for performance, safety, and reliability. We support the UN’s global goals

The UN has established 17 global goals to promote sustainable development on a worldwide scale. At SonFlow, we are committed to supporting these goals and making our own contributions towards a more sustainable future. Specifically, we focus our efforts on three of these goals:

aGreenment

We take environmental responsibility seriously and strive to reduce our carbon footprint throughout our operations. That is why we are proud to be a part of Lemvigh-Müller’s partner program: aGreenment™, which is a green agreement that promotes environmentally responsible supply chain practices.

Through this program, we have established fixed delivery days for steel, allowing our supplier to plan, package, and load the trucks in the most efficient manner possible. This results in fewer miles driven and significantly reduces the amount of CO2 emissions generated in our supply chain.

DanPump’s Pumps Help Clean the World’s Oceans

Our pumps are not only reliable and efficient, but they also have an important role in protecting our planet. We are proud to share that DanPump’s are being used to clean the world’s oceans through Clean Sea Solution A/S.

Clean Sea Solution A/S has installed our pumps on a floating dock, which automatically cleans ports and waterways of marine plastic, diesel film, and other filling pollutants. Our pumps create a “waterfall” that efficiently directs the waste into a collection basin, helping to reduce the amount of harmful substances in our oceans and waterways.

Environmentally friendly printers

We have taken a major step towards becoming a more sustainable company by replacing all of the printers in our headquarter in Kolding, Denmark, with more eco-friendly models. Our new printers utilize heat-free printing technology, which eliminated the need for heating and results in significantly lower power consumption than our previous printers.

 

By choosing heat-free printing technology, we have achieved a significant reduction in our energy consumption and CO2 emissions. In fact, we reduce our energy consumption by 480 kWh per year. Additionally, we reduce our printer-generated CO2 emissions by up to 81,8% per year, which is a significant reduction.
