SonFlow A/S expands its product portfolio
with new highly efficient plate heat exchangers

 

Over the last 10 years, SonFlow A/S, has succeeded in developing optimal energy efficient pumps branded DanPumps, for use in all types of industries, including district heating, food processing, the wastewater industry, and in other industrial and sanitary industries. SonFlow A/S is owned by the Søndergård Nielsen family, founder, and former owner of heat exchanger company Sondex.

 

With the climate challenges the world is facing today, installed heat exchangers and pumps need to be even more energy efficient and eco-friendly. Heat exchangers and pumps in existing production facilities need to make better use of energy, leading to replacement of old and inefficient plate heat exchangers and pumps for new and highly efficient products.

 

Since pumps and plate heat exchangers often complement each other within flow systems, it was natural to include plate heat exchangers in SonFlow's product range.

 

In recent years, SonFlow has therefore developed a comprehensive selection of plate heat exchangers, which means that SonFlow can not only offer pumps and plate heat exchangers individually, but also can provide complete heat exchanger and pump packages for optimal energy solutions for all markets.

 

In these packages, the heat exchanger and the pump can be paired in respect of pressure drop and flow rate to produce the best and most efficient solution, without any compromise that might be expected from some other suppliers.

 

SonFlow's product range of plate heat exchangers with gaskets has been developed based on more than 40 years’ experience. Testing has shown that the plates from SonFlow have a high thermal efficiency that is up to 15% higher than other similar plates from competing companies.

 

The optimal design of the SonFlow plates also means that the plates are suitable even for high operating pressures.

 

SonFlow is today an efficient company, with about 40 employees.

 

This means that we are a highly flexible business, and additionally, our products are very competitively priced.

 

Our product range includes a variety of different plate types and sizes with connection from DN25 to DN400.

 

A series of brazed plate heat exchangers with connections from DN25 to DN100 and a series of free flow plates with connections DN100 to DN350 will be ready later this year.

 

The production and assembly take place in our new modern factory in Kolding, Denmark.

 

As mentioned earlier, there will be many processing plants that can, and must, be energy optimized. In these plants there will be plate heat exchangers, designed decades back, that do not meet current energy requirement. In many cases, we can offer to replace these old plate packs, with our new and energy-efficient plates, without having to change the existing plate heat exchanger frames and pipe installations.

 

We are ready to go to market with a product range that is the best that can be offered, and at very attractive prices.

 

SonFlow is in the process of setting up subsidiaries worldwide and is finding dealers and agents for our complete product range of pumps and heat exchangers. We have now opened the first SonFlow subsidiary in Melbourne, Australia – we expect to take a significant share of the world market.
